project: TransMedics Rebrand

TransMedics is an end-to-end organ transplant company that keeps the organs (heart, lung, or liver) alive outside the body, without the need for cold storage. This means the organs is more likely to be viable when it reaches its destination, and can travel a longer distance as well. TransMedics provides logistics and transportation as well as the OCS (Organ Care System). I started at TransMedics amidst a brand refresh, and carried the torch from another designer who had begun exploring new brand identities for the company. Keeping the existing logo, the team and I developed a design system using an enhanced color palette, subtle gradients, and cropped rounded hexagon shapes to refresh the brand look and feel.

I also developed and continue to add on to an extensive icon library not only for the design team, but for all employees to use in presentations as well. The icons live on our digital asset management platform, along with our brand guidelines, which I also created and manage in that space, guiding my colleagues there whenever necessary.

In addition to print and digital branding, I was also responsible for the wayfinding system in our renovated office space. This included oversight and management of all signage, design for window decals, wall installations, and any other miscellaneous requests. The result is a clean, cohesive atmosphere for employees and visitors to enjoy as they move through the space.
